All for a Shower...

Usually I shower at night. After the kids are in bed, for obvious reasons. Well the other day, I had to take a shower in the morning. With Brad at work, and all three kids awake, this can be an ordeal. I thought to myself "I can so do this, it's a 5 minute shower". After preoccupying the kids, I snuck back to my bathroom, and hopped in. About 30 seconds later, Noah comes walking back and casually announces "someone's at the door". I totally thought he was lying. Then he said it again. Ugh. Okay, I hop out, throw on a robe, and see Noah standing at the window by the door yelling to someone "Mommy is NAKED, she is NAKED. My mommy is NAKED". AHhhhh! Whew, good thing it's one of my closest friends Jen. After she left I hopped back in. 30 seconds later, one naked little boy decides he is joining my shower. (He is 3,...a little old,..um...all well...what the heck. Hopefully I don't scar him for life). He climbs in. Of course 'baby sisters' follow him and are trying to undress themselves. Argh. Fine. I stick my wet hands out of the shower and unzip the twins from their PJ's and let them hop in too. 4 bodies in one shower. All of a sudden Chloe starts arching her back, throwing and tantrum and points at something. That something she is throwing a tantrum about is her blanket, on the floor, OUTSIDE the shower. Should I? Or Shouldn't I? To avoid a total catastrophe, I give in. I grab the blasted blanket, wrap it around my naked child, while the water falls down on her. Whatever. She is content in her soaking wet blanket, and I am finally clean. All for a shower.

-Moral of the story, shower at night.

  3. 1st- love the new layout. I shower while the girls are napping. Last week I tried while they were awake and had to quicken my pace when they realized where I was and pulled back the curtain and stood there trying to get in. Ended up with wet girls, a wet floor, and unshaved legs. At least you always look beautiful even with an evening shower.

  8. Awesome story - I'm already learning that showering at night is so much easier and I only have one child (pus a 1/2). I must say - this picture of the crib in your last post sent me over the edge. Annalyn takes her jammies off too, I need to document it! Go luck you adorable mom of 3 - I hope I'm as close to superwoman as you are when I get there!
