Canning = RiDicUlouSLy HaRd wOrK = totally worth it!!

Yes I am TRYING to be domestic. I took Noah out to an Orchard the other day and picked 2 bushels of peaches and pears! I have the scrapes all over my arms to prove it! Not sure I'd do it again with Noah, but it was an experience to say the least. "B" especially like it when mom gave in and let him eat the peaches straight off the tree (ok maybe a few ones off the ground too).

After letting them ripen for a few days, my girlfriends and I went to work. This is the fruits of our labor (no pun intended). ;)

There is nothing like home canned peaches! In December and January I know I will be so glad I did it. But right now...I'm a bit peached out. Pears are next week! Whew. I hope I've recovered by then.

  1. Great job! I'm so proud of you. I love the close up picture of Noah eating the peach.

  2. Look at you go! See that is why we need to live by each other so we can do stuff like this together!

  3. You are a better woman than I am. I don't attempt to be domestic! And from the looks of it, you succeeded! I hope you are coming down to Utah soon.

  5. Those are beautiful--right out of Taste of Home magazine. I think picking peaches and pears from an orchard sounds so fun. We're going to have to move to Boise so I can be all "domestic" with you!

  6. That is very domestic of you. I am not that talented (or should I say I am just lazy and by them from the store). But I do hope one day to step out of my box and start canning. Kudos to you!!!!
