A bunch of excuses...

Okay, I technically meant I'd update my blog THIS weekend? ;) Hey! -I've been busy! -I have 3 kids ages 2 and under! -I have been on vacation! -I have this other blog I contribute to. The list could go on and on... I know, a bunch of lame excuses. I've got a lot of catching up to do here. I'd better start with the current and work back! ;)

So, most recently, my mom and I took the twins on a trip to Tennessee to visit my sister Kara. I so wish we lived closer. Someday soon hopefully. {fingers crossed}. Of course we took some adorable photos of the girls...
{could this yellow field be any more gorgeous?!}

While in Tennesse, I helped throw Kara a little 'Car Themed' Baby Shower with some of her girlfriends. I can't wait to meet the lil guy! You can see the whole party here.

{yes I made those cookies! I would tell you that it took 3 failed batches to master them, I was covered in blue icing, that I would never make them again, that I wanted to swear the whole time I was icing, and that I ate my weight in cookie dough,...BUT,... I am way classier than that! ;) So I'll just tell you I proudly made them.}

From Tennessee I flew on to Florida to met up with Brad for his sister April's wedding. Joe and April are the cutest couple. We are so happy for the two of them. The reception,...oh the reception,.. it was sooo gorgeous! The reception center was an old plantation house, the food was deliciously SOUTHERN, the bride looked stunning, and we had the funnest time Square DANCING! It basically looked like a staged wedding out of a magazine! Not to mention she had an incredibly talented photographer Kim from KimBe Photography .

The only thing that was missing was 'B'! :( I left Noah in Boise for almost 10 days {gasp,...I know,...I am a horrible mom}. He was with Brad for the first 5 days while I was in TN, and then stayed he with friends while Brad met up with me in Florida. A few things justified us leaving him,... 1. Traveling with a 2 year old and twin babies is NOT fun. See here {remember?!} UGH! 2. $400 for him to come. 3. He wouldn't enjoy it and quite frankly, we probably wouldn't enjoy the wedding as much either. -But my heart ACHED for him by about day 6.

I am so glad to be home. As fun as traveling is, home is truly the best place to be.

Here is my oath to be a better blogger. "I Shelley, promise not to google random things, chat on facebook, or online shop unless my blog is up to date." Whew. Those are some pretty hefty words. I'll do my best! ;)

I'm participating in I heart faces this week with the flower photos!
