Moving is emotional. {Sniffle. Sniffle.} We are moving tomorrow and I am becoming an emotional blubbering mess. Sleepless nights packing, purging, and reminicing. The reminicing part is really starting to swell up in my heart. What was I thinking MOVING to support my husband's dream of graduate school. Sheesh! I have so many memories in Boise, in our little home. Our life is here. {i know, poor me,.... cry me a river}. I know change is good, and most likely we will be back in Boise in the near future, but I just need a moment to 'boo hoo'. Here is goes....
The things I will miss:
The fact that this was the first house Brad and I bought and made it a home. We were so excited to move in, make it cozy, and start a family....
The floor plan. Small, yet perfectly perfect for our first home.
The fact that we brought Noah home to this house.
Noah's Nursery and the memories in it.
Noah's Big Boy Bedroom and the memories in it.
The fact that we brought our twin baby girl's home to this house.
Their Nursery and the memories in it.
The backyard...
The sandbox my kids spent hours in (handmade with love by Brad, My Dad, and Brad's Dad)
The swingset Brad just assembled...
The flowers I planted that bloom every spring
Boise in general
Roaring Springs
The Desert Ward
and of course all of my dear friends and family
The redeeming fact: I get to take ALL my memories with me, AND the things that matter VERY most: Him, Him, Her, & Her...
Here's to a new adventure and to making new memories... Here we come Indiana.
We move on Friday. Moving is not my favorite! We too miss Boise a lot. Your family is going to rock Indiana. Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteOh that is sad so many good memories you have there!! YOu'll be awesome in indiana though and grow to love it just as much as boise, hopefully!! Good luck with the move and school!!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how hard it would be to leave that house :( On the other hand.. you are going to have SO much fun in Indiana. My mom has a list of things you guys need to go do out there. Your kids will love every little adventure. There are amazing childrens museums. Lake Michigan is so much fun. It will be a great adventure.
ReplyDeleteAww. What a tender farewell to Boise and all your memories there. At least you still have a charming house here. And I, for one, am super glad y'all are here for the year, too :) P.S. It's totally kosher with me to copy and paste or link to my post on Orientation Week :)
